If you are trying to get to an answer quickly and you do not have the tool information follow the instructions on the Project setup screen.

  1. Click the Machine Details button and update the RPM and HP (if known). Also enter the make and model of the machine.
  2. Click the Down Arrow on the right of this field and select the type of toolholder being used.
  3. Click the Down Arrow on the right of this field and select the diameter and tooth count of the cutter. NOTE: The default max DOC will be 4X the diameter. If you want to update this, click the Tool Details button. You can also check off if it is variable pitch, variable helix or has chipbreakers (rougher).
  4. Click the Down Arrow on the right of this field to select the ISO material category.

This will allow you tap the tool and produce a dashboard quickly while at the spindle. You can update the data at a later time
